Around the World.

Machu Picchu

Peru.  Day two of the trek to Machu Picchu.  It's tradition to take three cocoa leaves and place them under a rock and make a wish.  I wrote about this custom in   "Cameron's Road".

Triathlon

My second triathlon.  It was a short one.  I can't remember the distances, but it took place at Pineview.  This one is to prepare me for an ironman.

Overlooking Peru

I don't know what I'm doing.  I guess I'm trying to look majestic.

Another church in Peru

I can't remember what city this church was in.  I'll have to read my journal to recall.

Glacier Ice

On the way to Homer to Halibut fish.  Stopped at a glacier to fill a cooler.

The Alaskan Catch

The catch!  On the shores of Homer there are several fish and chip restaurants.  They catch the halibut fresh, dip it in some beer batter, and serve.  I shipped my halibut home.  Grilled it the next day.

Building a Fence

Kenny is a woodworking genius.  He designed this fence in about 10 minutes.  We built it in 11.

Finishing Tri 2008

Kenny and I finishing.  We're going to beat our time by an hour this coming September.

Maui trip 2009

In the bottom of the Haleakala crater trying to decide which path to take.  This photo reminds me of the famous Robert Frost poem.

I think Rodin's "The Thinker" is one of the greatest sculptures ever.  My brother John felt that I should try and emulate the great work on this rock at the black sand beach on the road to Hana.  Of course Rodin's subject is nude, but this is as far as I would go.
